Lepidolite

 

I am emotionally balanced and filled with holy peace.

     When layers of lithium aluminum silicate are weakly bonded together by potassium ions, lepidolite is formed. This stone, with its complex chemical formula, often forms near tourmaline and spodumene, both of which also contain lithium. Lepidolite can contain sparkling particles of mica, and cleaves apart into perfect, thin, translucent plates with a pearly luster. It's only become easily obtainable in the part ten years, and is sourced primarily from the USA, Africa, and Brazil. It's also been found in Australia, Russia, Canada, and Japan.

     Lepidolite is soft (2.5 - 4) and rare, tender lilac or sometimes light violet-blue in color. It is called the Lilac Stone. Similarly, peace can be hard to find, but it is soft and tender as well, comforting. 

     "At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11:25-30

     If we come to the Lord, He will give us Holy peace and rest. He tells us to follow Him and walk in His footsteps, and because He walks in the way of peace and humility, peace will follow us when we live like Him.

     "My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we may know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked."

1 John 2:1-6

     "So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth."

Philippians 2:1-10

     Love, community, humility, and a helpful spirit are the trademarks of someone who walks close behind Jesus, living so much like Him and learning from Him, walking under His teachings, so much so that people can tell who we live under even by looking at our lives. 

     If you're not sure what to change in your life to grow more like our Prince of Peace, His followers have a direct connection with Him, through prayer.

     "First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying), a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. I desire then that in every place the men should pray, lifting holy hands without anger or quarreling."

1 Timothy 2:1-8

     Pray for peace and rest among all peoples, that wars would end and that sanctuary would be provided for those who fear for their lives. Pray that those who hold authority would seek Holy wisdom, and find it, and move forward in the way of peace, which is the Lord's way. Pray that those who've hurt you would find God and turn from their ways, or that perhaps you could be the one to share God's word with them. Fervently pray that people under direct attack from the devil, with mental illness and anguish, would find solace in God and stand strong without giving in.
