The Creator of everything has always been and will always be.
Stromatolites were colonies of algae cells that first grew in the Precambrian Period. They were the first multicellular organisms, growing in mounds with the round shapes of individual colonies. Stromatolites have been fossilized in many forms, including kombaba jasper, and isua stone. Isua is typically found in Nuuk, Greenland, in one of the oldest plate tectonic sequences ever discovered. It is estimated to be around 3.7-3.8 billion years old and for a short while in 2016, was the oldest fossil of a living organism ever discovered on Earth. This was outdone a year later, when microorganisms were found in the Nuvvuagittuq Greenstone Belt in Canada.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
John 1:1-5
In Revelation 4:8, the four seraphim say of the Lord God, "who was and is and is to come." On in verse 11, the elders say, "Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created." It is difficult to wrap our minds around, but Yahweh has always existed and always will, because He is the One that created everything -- ever. He created the atoms that Ge used to build our earth molecule by molecule. He created the ancient stromatolites and ever single thing since then. He is eternal, because He exists outside of time, because He created time.
John 1:4-5 says, "In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." No matter how evil the world is, how ugly sin is, or how hateful humans are, the Light of the world, the God of life, has never been and will never be overcome. Nothing we do will kill Him; His goodness and love is eternal, because He is eternity and He is the essence of love.
"For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."
Ephesians 3:14-21
